Maderia Lodge, Weston Super Mare
Project Duration - 2018 - Present
This project originally proposed fifty new apartments on the waterfront of Weston-Super-Mare. This initial 'new build' scheme used a mixture of red brickwork, zinc and timber cladding to create a contemporary means of living within a landscape dominated by Victorian Era buildings.
Following Weston-super-Mare's designation as a 'Heritage Action Zone, the scheme was amended, with the existing buildings on site being retained and refurbished to provide 26 New one and two bedroomed apartments. This scheme gained planning consent in December 2020.
Occupying a prominent position in the northern section of Weston's traditional Victorian seafront parade, the new apartments will provide new housing stock in a design which respects and enhances the historical significance of the locality.
